Time of Day Routing is an automated routing system that sends calls to different destinations based on a predetermined routing scheme set to meet your needs. A basic example is when calls are routed to the main line during business hours, routed to an answering service after hours, and then re-routed back to the main line when the business opens again. With normal call forwarding, these changes would need to be made manually.
Time of Day Routing eliminates the need to pay someone to answer the phone, because you can set calls to transfer to another line instead. You can also set different rules for different days of the week, and for multiple phone lines, so select salespeople can be “on-call” each night. This feature gives you the flexibility to:
